MySingleSpace will regularly feature an article focusing on either a particular topic or summarize research relevant to single individuals. 


 

In Single Stories, Dr. Jill Reynolds discusses the story of singleness. Is it a story of relationships, and if so, how do you tell it? Dr Jill Reynolds draws on her book, The Single Woman: a Discursive Investigation, to discuss the challenges for women in telling a story that may not be a straightforward one of romance fulfilled and family life.


On Opening the Men's Room, Richard Osgood Ph.D. and Wendy Wasson Ph.D. discuss the increasing numbers of single men, and how little we know about them. Briefly touching on recent research and writing about single men, they present a lively conversation with one man, who reflects on experience being single.

In "Single Women over Forty Create the Good Life" , E. "Single and Happy; It's the norm, not the exception"  by Dr. Bella DePaulo, highlighted the surprising results of her careful research on happiness and marital status. The author of Singled Out: How Singles are Stereotyped, Stigmatized, and Ignored, and Still Live Happily Ever After , Dr. DePaulo is a regular contributor to many publications including the Huffington Post and Psychology Today.
