Dumping Ground: Times When You Don't Like Being Single
Sometimes it feels good to complain, moan, and let it rip...and you can't really start seeing possiblities and being creative until you do! If today is one of those days when you don't feel inspired, don't hold back. Take out a piece of paper or your Journal, and write down everything that is bothering you. (You can also call a friend who "gets it" and say you are doing a five minute "dump."). Then see if you can let it go as "that's how I am feeling and thinking right now". It may be just what you need to move on! And if you still need ideas on how to move with and through your feelings, visit Journalers' Corner and/or Resilience and Coping. You can also go to the Conversation Circle to link to blogs and single sites for perspective and inspiration!
Sometimes You Hate the Times When You are Single...Tell Us Why?
Going to a wedding when everyone else has someone and is dancing and you sit at the table by yourself.
I'm solely responsible and have only myself to blame.
I enter a room and feel like a freak, when everyone else is coupled.
I'm tired making plans
Someone asks me, are you dating anybody? (Ugh...here goes the explanation).
I thought I would be married with kids; why hasn't it happened?
I'm getting out there, but nothing feels right
My best friend just met the perfect guy for her!
Am I missing something?
I feel trapped and miserable in these four walls tonight!
I'm divorced and haven't dated for twenty years...how do you do it?
I wish people would stop giving all their advise about what I should be doing to get into a relationship (did anyone consider that it's my business, and maybe I am okay?)
Pressue that I should be having "the time of my life"...like what if I am not.
That people make so many assumptions!
It costs more!!
Finding a friend who is free during the day to pick me up at the hospital after my colonoscopy!
